Mobil Delvac 1640 is designed to exceed the demands of heavy duty diesel engines operating in severe load and high temperature applications, requiring a mono-grade heavy duty SAE 40 diesel engine lubricant. Mobil Delvac 1640 is formulated to provide excellent film strength for superior wear resistance and the proprietary blend of additives are designed to control oxidation and deposits on critical engine components. In applications where SAE 40 monograde heavy duty diesel engine oils are recommended by the OEM, Mobil Delvac 1640 can carry the extreme loading of 4-stroke diesel engine. The balance of proprietary base oils and additives ensure that critical engine components have the highest levels of protection against thermal breakdown, resists combustion gas degradation, and provide the highest levels of friction control in high temperature / heavy load applications.
