Mobil DTE Medium (55 Gal. Drum)
ISO VG 46 Mobil DTE Medium is a premium-performance circulating lubricant engineered for a variety of applications where long lubricant life is required, including steam and hydro turbine sets. Mobile DTE Medium is used widely in steam turbines and hydroturbines with splash, bath and ring-oiling arrangements, and all other continuous circulation methods involving pumps, valves and ancillary equipment. Recommended for continuous service in the lubrication of plain and rolling bearings and parallel shaft gearing, Mobil DTE Medium has also been used successfully in rotary air compressor applications, reciprocating natural gas compressors and vacuum pumps. The high viscosity index (98) of Mobil DTE Medium ensures minimum variation of film thickness with temperature, and minimum power loss during the warm-up period. The air release properties of Mobil DTE Medium also make it an excellent choice where ISO VG 46 double inhibited rust and oxidation (R&O) oils are recommended.
