Mobil Rarus 827 is a supreme performance synthetic air compressor lubricant engineered for the lubrication of severe duty reciprocating air compressors*. It provides wear protection and resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation that is far superior to mineral oils. This high performance lubricant also greatly reduces the potential for fires and explosions compared to mineral oil based products. In addition, it displays excellent water seperability, protecting downstream equipment and reducing sludge formation.

Have meant to change to new oil sooner. Two stage pump purchased in early 2000's. Don't use it that often but when I do it's usually for sandblasting, and it's only a 5 HP unit. Will run new oil for a short time as traces of the old mineral oil was in the pump when I switched. Am happy with purchase.
