Created for the oil-fog or oil-mist lubrication of machine components such as slideways, bearings, chains and gears., Mobilgear MS 100 is an ISO VG 100 extra-high-performance oil formulated from high-quality, solvent refined base stocks and a unique additive system designed for optimum ability to reclassify readily from a mist to a liquid when the mist is subjected to extreme turbulence or is impinged onto a surface at high velocity. This allows a lubricating film to form on gears and bearings and prevents stray mist from escaping into the atmosphere. Mobilgear MS 100 is highly resistant to oxidation, and has excellent Extreme Pressure and anti-wear properties. Specific applications of Mobilgear MS 100 include industrial gearing such as cooling tower gearboxes; slow-speed, heavily loaded bearings; machine tools, ways and screws; process pumps, electric motors and blowers; steam turbines and electric motors. Mobilgear MS 100 has enhanced surface-wetting capabilities and exceptional rust resistance.
